Living proof that Adam and Moby enjoyed a thrilling bout of thumb wars after the marvellous BUG Moby special on June 1st.
Moby is a real sport - and between talking about his videos on stage he pointed out the likeness between Adam and his own ancestor Herman Melville (Moby Dick author, of course). Could they possibly be related!? It was another great BUG occasion - and more specials will be forthcoming at the BFI, together with our regular shows, later in the year. And most of the Moby videos selected for the retrospective can now be viewed on the BUG YouTube channel.
Meanwhile, the finalists of the Hello, Future Music Video Challenge – the competition organised by BUG in association with Moby, Saatchi&Saatchi and Vimeo have been announced.
Up-and-coming filmmakers were invited to make a video for one of three tracks from the new Moby album Destroyed, and the competition received an extraordinary number of entries – nearly 600 – by the May 9th deadline. The winner – selected by a panel of judges from the competition partners, and including Moby himself – will be announced and their video screened at the 21st Saatchi & Saatchi New Directors’ Showcase at the 2011 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity on June 23rd.

Then, the winner of the Hello, Future Music Video Challenge will be offered the chance to work on a project in one of Saatchi & Saatchi’s key offices around the Saatchi & Saatchi Global Network.
